How it works
Upload your video
Choose a clip or drop it on the preview. Use an MP4, MOV or WebM your browser can play, vertical or horizontal. Nothing is uploaded to a server; the effect is drawn on your device with WebGL.
Pick the ghost and the look
Set how the ghost moves (Wander, Peek, Fly-by or Steer), how many appear, their size and color, then add a Halloween, Haunted, Blood moon, Night vision or VHS grade and an optional ghost trail.
Export and post
Unlock Pro to export. Your clip plays once while recording, including supported original audio. Save an MP4 or WebM, depending on your browser. Keep this tab visible until it finishes.
Getting a clean ghost trail
- Fast movement on a still background gives the clearest trail: dancing, spinning, a hair flip, a skateboard trick.
- 50–70% leaves a short, crisp echo; 80–90% gives long, dreamy smears.
- Lock the camera. If the camera moves, the whole frame smears instead of just the subject.
- Combine it with one ghost and the Haunted grade for a horror-style double exposure.
How the effect works
Each new frame is blended with the previous result, so anything that stays still looks normal and anything that moves leaves a fading copy. Video editors call this an echo or frame-blend effect; here it runs live in the preview, so you see the result before you export.

Is this the same as the Echo effect in video editors?
It creates the same kind of look: the current frame mixed with fading copies of earlier frames. Here you control it with one slider.
Can I use the trail without the ghost?
Yes. Set Number of ghosts to 0 and the clip only gets the trail and whatever grade you choose.
Is Ghost Filter free?
Creating and previewing are free. Every export requires Pro, priced at $9.99 USD once, with no subscription. Purchases will open after checkout is available.
Are my videos uploaded?
No. Your browser draws and records the effects on your device. We do not receive your source or exported videos.
Which formats can I use?
Choose a video your browser can play, such as MP4, MOV or WebM. The export format is MP4 or WebM depending on browser recording support, up to 1280 pixels on the long edge. Preview your own clip first.
How do exports and purchase recovery work?
Export records your clip in real time; keep this tab visible. Save your private recovery code when buying Pro so you can restore the purchase in another browser. Refunds revoke access.
