How it works
Upload your video
Choose a clip or drop it on the preview. Use an MP4, MOV or WebM your browser can play, vertical or horizontal. Nothing is uploaded to a server; the effect is drawn on your device with WebGL.
Pick the ghost and the look
Set how the ghost moves (Wander, Peek, Fly-by or Steer), how many appear, their size and color, then add a Halloween, Haunted, Blood moon, Night vision or VHS grade and an optional ghost trail.
Export and post
Unlock Pro to export. Your clip plays once while recording, including supported original audio. Save an MP4 or WebM, depending on your browser. Keep this tab visible until it finishes.
Getting the ghost trend look
- Film vertical (9:16). The tool keeps your clip's shape, so a vertical recording exports vertical.
- Leave empty space behind you. A doorway, hallway or dark corner gives the ghost somewhere to appear.
- Use Peek. The ghost rises from the bottom of the frame about a second in, hovers, then sinks away. Time your reaction to it.
- Keep it short. 8 to 15 seconds is the usual length for the trend, and it exports in the same time.
- Add the sound in TikTok. Your original audio is kept; pick a trending sound when you post.
Why use a web tool instead of the in-app effect
Some in-app effects have recording or availability restrictions. Here the ghost goes onto any clip from your camera roll, you can redo the take as many times as you like, and you choose the ghost's color, size and path.

Is this the same as TikTok's ghost filter?
No. Ghost Filter is an independent tool that gives a similar look. It works on any video file, including ones filmed outside TikTok.
Will my video stay vertical?
Yes. The export keeps the width and height ratio of the clip you upload, up to 1280 pixels on the long side.

Are my videos uploaded?
