Terms of Service

Effective date: October 20, 2026

Our agreement

These terms govern your use of Ghost Filter at ghostfilter.app, operated by Midoriya, an independent developer in China. Contact: fguby1995@gmail.com. By using the service you agree to these terms. If you cannot accept them, do not use the service. Purchasers must be adults or have a parent or guardian’s authorization.

What the service provides

Ghost Filter is a browser video editor with animated ghost overlays, color looks and motion trails. Creation and preview are free; every video export requires a verified Pro purchase. You do not need an account. Features require a compatible browser, WebGL and, for export, MediaRecorder. Input formats depend on browser codecs. Exports use MP4 or WebM as supported, with a maximum long edge of 1280 pixels. Recording happens in real time; keep the tab visible. Test compatibility with the free preview before purchasing.

One-time Pro and delivery

The listed Pro price is USD 9.99, paid once, with no subscription or automatic renewal. Pro includes unlimited exports using the current editor while the service is available; it does not promise perpetual hosting, future products or every future paid feature. Any applicable taxes, currency conversion and final amount will be shown at checkout before payment. Purchases are unavailable until checkout opens. After an eligible payment is confirmed, export access is delivered digitally through a signed browser credential. A redirect alone does not prove payment.

Purchase recovery and refunds

Save your private recovery code. It can restore your purchase in another browser or device after verification with the payment provider. Do not publish, resell or share it as a license for others. Contact support with your order reference if recovery fails; never send full card details. Our separate Refund Policy explains requests, duplicate payments and faulty delivery. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.

Your content and permitted use

You retain ownership of your videos. You must have the rights and permissions needed for footage, audio and people shown, including commercial use. We do not obtain ownership of your uploads. Do not use the service for illegal content, harassment, infringement, fraud or misleading impersonation. Disclose fictional or edited effects where needed to avoid deceiving viewers. Do not disrupt the service, circumvent purchase checks or redistribute our software without permission under the applicable license.

Third-party material and payment services

Checkout is provided by Waffo Pancake; its applicable payment terms also apply. The ghost shader is adapted from Ksenia Kondrashova’s WebGL Ghost Cursor under MIT. The sample video is derived from Intel IoT DevKit sample videos under CC BY 4.0; retain the required attribution if you publish that footage. The sample’s license does not grant rights in other footage. Ghost Filter is independent of TikTok, Meta, Instagram and YouTube.

Availability, suspension and responsibility

Keep your own copy of exported files; this service does not store projects. Browser, device or network limits may interrupt rendering or purchase verification. We may maintain, change or discontinue features, and may restrict access for abuse or invalid or refunded purchases. If we cannot deliver a paid feature, contact us for a remedy under the refund policy and applicable law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or suitability for every purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Disputes and updates

Please contact support first with a clear description and order reference so we can resolve a dispute. Any mandatory consumer protections and access to competent courts in your jurisdiction remain available. We may revise these terms with an updated effective date and highlight material changes. Changes do not retroactively remove statutory rights or agreed remedies for completed purchases.
