Who operates Ghost Filter
Ghost Filter (ghostfilter.app) is operated by Midoriya, an independent developer based in China. For privacy questions or requests, email fguby1995@gmail.com. This policy covers the website, editor and purchase verification service.
Your videos stay on your device
The editor opens your chosen video in your browser. WebGL renders effects and the browser records exports locally. We do not upload, receive or store your source videos or exported videos. Closing or refreshing the page can discard your work; save any completed export yourself. The public demonstration video is downloaded from our website.
Information we process
The hosting service receives normal request information such as IP address, browser information, requested URL, time and errors. When you purchase or restore Pro, we process an order reference, product, payment status, amount, currency and a signed recovery code. We receive the email address and contents of any support message you send. Do not send private videos or payment card details to support.
Payments and service providers
Waffo Pancake provides checkout and payment processing, including billing and fraud prevention. It may collect your name, email, billing address and payment details directly. We do not receive your full card number or security code. Vercel hosts the site and API. Google Fonts serves the site’s fonts and may receive your IP address and browser request information. These providers process data under their own applicable privacy policies. See the provider links below.
Cookies and recovery codes
We use an essential, secure, HttpOnly cookie named __Host-ghostfilter-pro to remember a signed purchase reference for up to one year. It is sent only to our site and does not store payment card information. We verify entitlement against the payment provider; changing a browser setting cannot create a purchase. You may delete this cookie in your browser and later restore an eligible purchase using your private recovery code. We do not currently use advertising trackers or optional analytics cookies.
Purposes and legal grounds
We use data to provide the service and restore purchases, answer support requests, prevent fraud and investigate failures, and meet applicable accounting or legal duties. Where a legal basis is required, these purposes rely on performing our agreement with you, legitimate interests in a reliable and secure service, or legal obligations, as applicable. We do not sell personal information or use your videos to train AI models.
Retention, security and international processing
Videos remain under your control on your device. We keep support correspondence only as needed to resolve requests and handle relevant disputes or obligations. Order and hosting records follow the applicable provider retention arrangements and legal requirements; we do not promise a single fixed retention period for every provider. Access is limited to operating and supporting the service. The operator is in China, and hosting and payment providers may process data in other countries. We use HTTPS and signed purchase credentials, but no system is entirely risk-free.
Your choices and rights
You can stop using the editor, clear its cookie, and contact us to request access, correction, deletion or a copy of personal data we control. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to object, restrict processing or complain to a supervisory authority. We may need to verify your identity and retain records required by law. For data held independently by a payment provider, we will direct you to that provider when needed.
Children and changes
The service is not directed to children under 13. Minors must have a parent or guardian’s permission, and purchases must be made by an adult or with their authorization. Contact us if a child has sent us personal data. We may update this policy and will show the effective date; significant changes will be highlighted on the site.
